about us
Based on Sydney’s upper north shore, we help you to transform tired furniture into stunning feature pieces that add soul to modern homes.
We’re passionate about art, design, and sustainability, and believe that having a beautiful home should not come at a cost to the environment. Reviving old pieces means we can update our homes without adding to the ‘fast furniture’ problem.
We have so far saved well over 1,000 pieces of furniture from potential landfills, and are committed to running Shed Eleven sustainably, using little energy, water or waste.
We specifically use and stock the eco-friendly Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® to minimise chemical use, and are proud to be retailers.

Meet the makers

Fanny Clarsen
Born in Ivory Coast to an American mother and a French father, Fanny’s childhood was spent in France, Switzerland, Spain and the USA. She has continued her adventures as an adult, travelling and living on all continents.
Her many travels have given Fanny an eclectic and sophisticated eye. Putting down roots in Australia has allowed Fanny to fully realise her creative and interior design talents with the establishment of shed eleven.

Jemma Wlasichuk
Growing up in an Australian Army family, Jemma had a gypsy childhood. She has lived in Papua New Guinea, various places throughout Australia, and the USA. Her love of travel endured and she has travelled extensively as an adult.
Jemma’s philosophy is that art doesn’t only belong on the walls. Her visual arts and crafts background means she can create truly unique, feature pieces of furniture. Skilled in many techniques, she loves working with clients to realise their vision. Along with enjoying a career in the creative and culinary arts, Jemma also has a thorough grounding in finance and small business management.
She loves that Shed Eleven allows her to use many of her creative and business skills: painting, design, photography, writing, management and customer service. Shed Eleven fits in beautifully with raising two children.
Our work in the community
One of the greatest pleasures of owning our own business is doing regular pro bono work. We have donated pieces to numerous organisations for their fundraising and painted pieces for non-profit groups for the pure joy of it.
Collaborations
Shed Eleven loves to collaborate! We have worked with:
- Interior designers, art directors, theatres, photographers, and stylists to help them create magic.
- Local Government and businesses to supply furniture for both retail and interior fit outs.
- Other artists and makers.
Please get in touch if you would like to be part of the Shed Eleven community.
